The bridge is located in a small park between Krasnopresnenskaya metro station and the "White House" - a seat of Russian government. It has been built in the middle of 18th century, then later in 1806 as a part of the first Moscow public garden it has been decorated by white stone and lanterns.
In 1908, Presna river has been regulated and taken underground and since then the bridge is standing on dry land.
Originally it used to be called Gorbaty Most (Humpy Bridge), in 20th century it was renamed to "Bridge of year 1905", as in 1905 Revolution the fights between the revolutionaries and government forces took place here.
