Almost universally known as the Tioga Hotel, this building was begun in 1925 as the tallest building on the Oregon coast, but the Great Depression halted it three years later and it wasn't completed until 1948.

The Tioga Hotel has gone through many renovations, and over the years has housed the Greyhound Bus Station, nightclubs, and restaurants. It has now been remodeled as senior citizen housing. But, it still towers as a landmark in downtown Coos Bay along the riverfront.
