Clock in an arch over the Main Street Bridge spanning the Missisquoi River.
The bridge was just rehabbed last year (June-December, 2008). For whatever reason, the clock was not put back in place until today (May 21, 2009). See also Truss Bridges.
This bridge replaced an 1881 iron bridge which was washed away by the massive 1927 flood, crashing into and destroying a barn almost a half mile downstream. The clock arch was added some years later.
