Long Description:

This large specimen of a Banyan tree is located on the Hulihe`e Palace lawn, next to the wall which it has been consuming for a number of years. This tree is also the roosting home for hundreds of birds every night at which time one has to cross the road so not to get bombarded by their voluminous droppings.
