Starts from the top of Ploutarchou Street in the district of Kolonaki. Lycabettus Hill is approximately 300 metres high and offers a great view over the entire city.
The funicular leaves about every 20 minutes and in 2009 costs 5.50 Euros per person.
It was given a facelift after 38 years of uninterrupted operation. The completely renovated Lycabettus funicular came into operation on the 1st July 2002.
The funicular operates 19 hours per day, 365 days per year and on average it transports 300.000 passengers per year.
