Town hall is usually one of the most important buildings in the town. There used to stand a small magistrate in the lower part of the Husovo square in 1302. The building was rebuilt many times and present pseudo-baroque style comes from 1903, when the town hall was rebuilt according to the plan of František Coufal, a native from Beroun.
The inner decorations by Vilém Amort, a sculptor, record regional specifications. We can see plaster trillobits in the ceremonial hall, which is very common in the Beroun surrounding. After its reconstruction, in the end of the 90s, a modern wing, partly glassed-in, was add on and the whole town hall building was enclosed. Nice atrium with the historical well in the middle has been built in the courtyard.
