The original church burnt down in 1880 and was rebuilt by J L Pearson in 1881-2 in 13th century style.
In the 19th century St George's Church are memorials from the original Norman building.
It has nave, chancel, South aisle and transept and North West tower.
Two 12thcentury doorways were reused in the new church.
The former South and more elaborate doorway is now on the North side, entered from the porch.
There are four bells of 1707, the bell tower is entered from the ladder in the porch, through the trap door.
