Long Description:
Pearched on the brick wall, this figure could be any child reading a book, but thinking about summer. This statue is suppose to demonstrate the longing that is high in the minds of the average child at the end of a long school year. The yearning to be free can be seen on the little boys face.

Placed in 1992 this sculpture was commisioned by the Friends of the Pioneer Museum. This sculpture was created by Betty Sabo in 1996.
