Long Description:
There is an inscription on the memorial reading as follows:
'God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes and there shall be no more death neither sorrow or crying neither shall there be any more pain for the former things are passed away'.

The memorial also says 'Remember with prayer and gratitude of Barton Seagrave who fell in the Great War 1914 - 1918. Grant to them O Lord thine eternal peace'.
