At the corner of Ames Street and Main Street, there is a Legal Seafoods Restaurant, one of many in the area. At this establishment, there is a metal fish sculpture. In an abstract way, it looks like a curled fish skeleton. There is a central metal tube that represents the spine, a ribbon of metal winds around the central tube to represent either the body or the bones, and the shaped head and dropped jaw that makes the fish appear to smile. It stands probably 9 feet tall (not measured).
This restaurant has been at this location for over 7 years. It was the place where I was taken to lunch on my first day at work. We have been there several times since then for various reasons, most recently to send off people who were leaving.
Anyway, you don't have to eat there to enjoy this statue!
