This old ganger's hut is located along the popular walkway near Great Oxendon.

The hut was once used by workers on the railway when the line was active. Nowadays the line has gone but remnants of the past railway still exist. Further north are the Great Oxendon tunnels, one of which is now also part of the railway walk.

The building is now missing most of the roof but the internal chimney is visible inside.
