The Will Rogers Library in the home town of Will
Rogers. The original library was at W. 4th Street and N. Weenonah Ave on the
southwest corner. Will Rogers donated his lots in downtown Claremore with the
understanding that they were to be sold to the government for a post office
site, and the money from the proceeds of this sale to be used to build a city
library. After his tragic death, the family allowed the structure to be named
for him as a tribute to his unselfishness and community spirit.
While in town visit the Will Rogers Museum.
