Long Description:
In 1977 a defunct Northwest League franchise in Salem was purchased and reformed. An agreement was reached to use the field at the newly constructed Chemeketa College. The affiliation and nickname changed twice, but one constant was low attendance. After the 1989 season, the team relocated to Yakima, Washington, where it remains today. While the current capacity is only about 500, there are signs of other grandstands existing in the past.
