The Black Brook creates 3 separate waterfalls of different types as it runs through a 2.1 mile gorge created by a nearby fault line. This waymark is the lower falls and parking area. This is a very short and easy hike from parking. This river was once dammed at this spot, and the remnants of the dam are visible in the photos. The upper falls is known as the "Devil's Beanpot".
