Make sure you slow down a bit as you travel Illinois Route 16. Look to the South and get a glimpse of the tallest statue of Abraham Lincoln in the world.

When I was a kid, this statue was located in another park on the edge of Charleston. It was part of a failed vision of a Lincoln Memorial Park. After years of neglect, the statue has been repaired and is currently owned by the Graywood Foundation. Unfortunately they don't seem to want people getting too close to Abe. Thankfully, the size is such that you should be able to get a glimpse of him from the road.
If traffic is clear, feel free to stop and take a picture. It's one of those very unusual sights that truly fits with the rest of the weirdness in our world.
