The Seminole Family Aquatic Center offers many activities for the family. The aquatic facility includes a six (6) lane Junior Olympic pool twenty-five yards in length for competitive swimming, general fitness, and leisure activities. The aquatic center offers kickboards, pull buoys, and staff members to aid with general workouts. Along with swimming exercise the aquatic center offers water aerobic classes as an alternative and fun form of exercise. The pool depth is three and a half to five and a half feet deep which is ideal for our water aerobic instruction. The pool also offers swim lessons by American Red Cross Certified Instructors for infants to adults which helps teach early development in the water to competitive swimming techniques.
Along with our swimming pool the family aquatic center offers a zero depth to a foot in a half deep activity play pool for children to enjoy. The module play feature consists of several water features that spray, drop, shoot, and spits water. This activity play area consists of two slides, one large slide for multiple people to slide down, and a frog slide for pre-school aged children to ride out of its mouth and down the tongue. There are also water cannons and a large mushroom waterfall for the kids to enjoy. Both kids and parents love this element. In addition, the golden sea serpent and ladybugs add flowing water for the enjoyment of the children.
For the patrons who do not want to get wet we have many lounge chairs and deck space to enjoy the warm Florida sun. If you are interested in shade we have plenty of that also. The pool deck has two very large umbrellas about fifteen feet in height and twenty-feet in diameter which covers a large portion of the deck.
The pool, play feature, and deck make a great place for birthday parties. The pool can be rented during the hours the facility is not open to the public for a private party. This allows a fun alternative for a special day. If you are a member of the facility please come down and enjoy the benefits of your Aquatic Center and beat the Florida heat.
