Church and church complex was in perfect condition. Beautiful church in the Gothic revival style. Found some history about church and congregation, but the best brief history comes from a State of Louisiana historical marker, located in front of building. Marker text reads:
First service: March 12,1876, by Bishop Joseph Wilmer. Rev. Herman Dincan first Rector. Land donated by C.E. Cate. Anonymous N.Y. churchwoman benefactor. Dedicated 1888 in memory of Mertie A. Cate. Another great source for history is from the State of Louisiana website, located
