Get a copy of "Bridge to Bridge" Civil War trail brochure from the Hamblen County historical society. It has good information on several historical locations from Strawberry Plains to Whitesburg. It discussed the Civil War movements around this location. (But unfortunately I lost my copy picked up from Crockett Tavern during the late afternoon.)

Branner Cemetery is located across the Old Andrew Johnson Highway from Glenmore Mansion (Waymark WM63YH) in Jefferson City (formerly known as Mossy Creek).
