One of two County stations in Fair Oaks. This one is tucked off Sunrise Av, a 6 lane throughfare. It has a cel tower, one of the 13 medical units. These do move around. Their "footprint" is small.

This is the town where chickens run loose.
To the west, the engines must enter a six lane road.
This neighborhood holds a number of community events; a Renaissance Fair, Community Theater, the International Marathon route comes near in Dec. some lane closures. It is also less than a mile from the American River, which experiences some assisted water rescues or recoveries annually. There is also the bicycle trail and one incident of a cougar attacking a jogger. Be glad they are good.
Many visitors are unaware of fluctuating water conditions (dam upstream!), etc. Out of towners come to rent rafts, kayaks . . .
Communities are right to charge the rescued for the costs.
They exercise some innovative maneuvers when traffic is gridlocked in three lanes (one way). There are no hospitals in Fair Oaks. When oone has an accident, rush hour is not a good time, but it is most likely.
