Covering a spectacular 200 acres, this earthly paradise offers a riot of colour in spring, an oasis of tranquility in summer followed by a splendid show as the leaves change in the autumn.
There is a steam railway to ride on and to admire the beautiful gardens from and many pathways leading you through the areas. These include the Northern Lake, Domesday Yew, Augustinii Corner, American Garden, Jubilee Pond, Jubilee Hill, Wildlife Ponds, Summer Lane Garden, Rock Garden, Azalea Drive, Boardwalk, Hydrangea Walk, Bog Garden, Gilbury Bridge, Heather Gardens, Iris Garden, History Tree, Dogs' Graves, Lovers Lane, Sundial Garden, The Glades, Burmese Bell, Exbury House, Herbaceous and Grasses Garden, Lionel de Rothschild Memorial, Wiggly Tree, Mrs Lionel's Seat, Maple Walk, Japanese Bridge, Top Pond, Cascades, Azalea Bowl, The Stone Bridge, Winter Garden, Camellia Walk, New Camellia Walk, Winter Garden, River Walk and View Point & Arromanches Point.
The colour at the time we visited was unbelievable with the azaleas and rhododendrons just coming into full bloom.
Opening times are during the spring to autumn:
Saturday 7th March - Sunday 8th Nov, daily, 10am-5.00pm last admission. Car Park gates close at 6pm (or dusk if earlier).
