Long Description:
When VTA constructed the Vasona Line of their light rail system,
the proximity to the freight line posed a problem. Since the
freight train only ran once a day, it could remain at ground level,
but LRT cars every 10 minutes would cause major traffic headaches.
So the decision was to build a bridge over both Hamilton Ave. and
Highway 17, with an elevated station. Patrons use either stairs or
an elevator, then cross over the freight line on the bridge, to
access the LRT. The total span is about 75 feet.
Construction Type: Arch
 Spans: Railroad Track
