The Estelline Volunteer Fire Department was organized in 1908 and serves both the City of Estelline and its surrounding rural areas.
There is 911 access for all emergencies which includes first responders. The department is staffed by 25 volunteers.
The town does not have a full-time, paid firefighter staff, so as with any small town, the local citizens take on this responsibility on an as-needed basis.
Estelline has a stong volunteer ethic and it is shown by the twenty citizens who make up the firefighter crew.
This memorial is dedicated to the firefighers of the local area who have dedicated their lives to helping others.
