Waterway Lock in Roudnice nad Labem was constructed in 1912 during the redesign of Labe (Elbe) and Vltava (Moldau) river watersheds for modern ship transportation on both main Czech rivers.
Weir shutters here were reconstructed and modernized in 1969-1971 and the small water-lock chamber was modernized in 1972-1975.
Wateway Lock in Roudnice has several important parts:
small waterlock chamber (85 m long, 11 m wide and with minimal depth over nipper 2.70 m)
