Perhaps twenty feet in diameter, this compass rose, at the entrance to the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano, is subtle: it's got arrowhead shaped stones with the four main cardinal points. The seams are irregular except for the "crosshairs" that connect the cardinal points.
Around the inner perimeter are various signs and maps that explain the rules and the layout of the Preserve.
