V roce 1901 rychle byla rostouci vesnice Vysocany povysena cisarem Frantiskem Josefem I. na mesto. A kazde mesto potrebuje vystavni radnici, to je jasna vec. Tak se tedy zacalo s pripravami a v roce 1910 zacala na miste byvaleho obecniho domu rust nova neorenesancni radnice. Plan byl krasny - radnice mela mit hlavni centralni cast se dvemi bocnimi kridly. Ale pripravne prace neproblehly moc dobre. Mesto totiz nevlastnilo cely pozemek a kdyz prislo na vec, majitel sousedniho pozemku odmitl parcelu pod horejsim kridlem prodat. No nic naplat, nasledujich 90 let radnice vypadala jak postrelene zvire - bez celeho jednoho kompletniho kridla. Behem techto let ale mela uz radnice stesti - prezila nalety na Vysocany behem 2.sv.v., prestavbu ctvrti - bourani chudinske ctvrti, kdy zbyla jen radnice a skola za ni, komunisticke pokusy strhnout zdobenou stavbu a vystrihnout socialistickou kostku. Nu, radnice se nakonec dockala. Roku 2001 byla opravena a pristaveno chybejici kridlo. Sice jiz moderni, ale presto celkem povedene. A tak je radnice konecne kompletni.

In 1901 fast growing village Vysocany nearby Prague was promoted to a town by emperor's Frantisek Josef I. decree. And every regular town needs a town hall - that's as plain as a day. Advance working finished in 1910 and on former place of municipal house started to grow new pseudoranaissance town hall. A plan was to build one center part with two similar wings. But advance workings wasn't done very well. Town didnt own whole land needed for hall and in the middle of constructing works, an owner of piece of land declined to sell it (despite of promise). And so from 1912 the town hall for long ninty years looked like "half shot animal" - only with one western wing. Town hall survived WWII, urban renewal (slum clearence), communistic attempts - they planned rebuilding to a socialistic architecture... And in 2001 the building was repaired, new modern eastern wing opened and our town hall is after all complete.
