Harns Marsh is owned by the East County Water Control District. It is a Man Made Marsh Used to Filter the Stormwater Runoff from the Lehigh Acres Area Before it Enters the Orange River. Planning for this Marsh Started back in 1981 and was Completed in 1985.. There is a New Section (West Side) that was just Purchased (Aug/Dec 2008) via the Conservation 20/20 Program.. Lee County will be Working with ECWCD in Making the West Side User Friendly in the Near Future.
