It's the headquarters for the First National of Nebraska. The Woodman Tower (478 feet, built in 1969) was the previous tallest building in Nebraska.
Emporis Skyscraper Award 2002:
One First National Center was chosen as one of the best new skyscrapers of the year 2002 and received 3321 voting points.
The Trek up the Tower www.trekupthetower.org is an annual vertical stair climb race up to the top of this building.

- The lobby includes a 60 foot high glass winter garden, whose south wall incorporates part of the ornamental terra cotta facade of the previous building on the site (Medical Arts Building).
- There are three fountains in the project, two inside the building and one outside.
- All exterior stone on the facade is granite.
