The jet now stands on a pedestal overlooking Fairy Lake in Acton. It is placed beside a local park, on the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #197 property.
The Silver Star is also known as the T-Bird. It is the longest serving aircraft model in the Canadian Armed Forces. These were withdrawn from service in 2005.
From a web source I found the following information: Manufacturer and Model: Canadair (Lockhead) T-133 Silver Star, Serial No. 23103
