Long Description:
The jet now stands on a pedestal overlooking Fairy Lake in Acton. It is placed beside a local park, on the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #197 property.

The Silver Star is also known as the T-Bird. It is the longest serving aircraft model in the Canadian Armed Forces. These were withdrawn from service in 2005.

The tail number has been repainted, and now reads "197" which is the branch number of the nearby Legion.
