A magnificent Ring Sundial that can be found in the Mahon Port close to Pedro´s Boat Center.
The Sundial was designed by Rafael Soler Gayá.
This is a ring sundial (also known as an Aquitaine or a perforated ring dial), the ring is hung vertically and oriented sideways towards the sun.[51] A beam of light passes through a small hole in the ring and falls on hour-curves that are inscribed on the inside of the ring.

This particular Sundial works the same way, it allows to calculate the time up to hour quarters and (because it has 4 holes inestead of 1) it allows the user to correct the time according to the month of year.
