This benchmark is located along along the old Bend-Burns Road, about 12 miles west of Hampton and about a mile south of U.S. Hwy 20. The benchmark is set in concrete post just southwest of fence corner. The benchmark was set by the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey in 1943 and was marked N373.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1943. THIS MARK IS ABOUT 9.8 MILES NORTHWEST ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 20 AND 1.9 MILES WEST ALONG THE OLD BEND-BURNS ROAD FROM HAMPTON, DESCHUTES COUNTY, SET IN THE SOUTHWEST ANGLE OF THE INTERSECTION OF THE ROAD AND A NORTH-SOUTH CROSS ROAD, AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF A FIELD, 3.0 FEET WEST OF A NORTH-SOUTH FENCE, 4.0 FEET NORTHWEST OF A CORNER FENCE POST, 19.0 FEET WEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE NORTH-SOUTHCROSS ROAD, 22.0 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE ROAD PROJECTING ABOUT 2-INCHES ABOVE THE GROUND, 2.0 FEET NORTH OF A WHITE REFERENCE POST.
