The sign is maintained by the West Virginia Division of Forestry. It is at the front east corner of the courthouse lawn, just a few feet from the junction of Main Street (State Route 41) & Church Street. The painted sign is in good shape, but Smokey is somewhat faded. Maybe he blanched from having a cannon pointed at him all day (see the wider view picture)!
