Wilbur "Webb" Palmer was a teacher, department head, and vocational director at Alvirne HS from 1966 to his retirement in 2001. The vocational center at the high school is named in his honor as he was the driving force to get it done. The weathervane with the web motif was also a tribute to him. I have the pleasure of knowing him and attended his retirement party.
