Not certain what the real name of the pattern since the owners were not home and after trying to search on-line and ask an expert (my mother, who does not check her email regularly), so welcome this piece of knowledge to update the waymark. Seen while driving north, not south, on Rock Springs Road. No shoulder to pull off to enjoy the view. Unfortunately, the red paint used is starting to fade.
