St Stephen's Anglican Church is the "oldest in BC on its original site and in which services have been held continuously". Its rural pastoral setting on Vancouver Island overlooks the ocean. The church contains memorabilia from its heritage including regimental colours from Canadian troops from the area in the Boer war, the Great War and WW2. The graveyard is equally historical and evocative of pioneering days of Canada in the British Empire. Best visited in the spring when the wild flowers are in bloom.
St Stephen's was designated a Heritage Building in 1984.
