George Rhoads created this 8'x8'x8' rolling ball sculpture in 1983. It's titled "42nd Street Ballroom" and is located in the Port Authority Bus Terminal, which covers two city blocks between 8th and 9th Avenues and 40th and 42nd Street and serves as a terminus and departure point for both commuter bus routes and long-distance intercity routes. The sculpture includes 16 pool balls (including the cue ball) and numerous moving parts, including a saw blade! There are no admission costs to view this sculpture.
