Long Description:
Bent Run is a small stream that runs for about a mile. Over that mile the water drops about 700 feet in a series of small cascades. There are numerous small pools at the base of these cascades as the stream winds down to the Allegheny Reservoir. The largest cascade is about 30 feet. The falls can be seen as one steps from the vehicle. There is a rocky worn trail leading alongside the falls. It is possible to travel from the base of the run all the way to the top, but footing gets difficult as one rises. Depending on rainfall, the stream may go dry during some years.
