Dolan Gap was the wagon road which reach into the bowl formed by the Bays and Holston River Mountain ranges, thus the former community. The water pipe from Bays Mountain reservoir down to Kingsport ran down Dolan Gap. Some of the abandoned pipe can be seen on the Dolan Gap Trail. Coordinates are from right below the dam at a small pull-off.

Access:
The bottom NE side of the gap can be accessed through the private Eastman Recreational Area. The top SW side of the gap is where the reservoir dam is located (Waymark WM52ZY), thus up the access road to Bays Mountain Park ($3/car entrance fee).
