Long Description:
The South Natick Dam Park and Multi-Purpose Area is located in the village of South Natick, which is part of the Town of Natick.

The best place to park is along Mill Street, which is a connector between Eliot Street and Pleasant Street. There is a break in the stone wall and a path to the dam. There is a grassy area on this side of the river where you can walk near the river. On the other side of the stone bridge that supports Pleasant Street (walk on the sidewalk on the other side of the bridge; the road is narrow), the park continues in a stretch of woods and a small wetland. Further down Pleasant Street is a basketball court (not in great shape). Canoes and kayaks are launched or ported through this park to beautiful stretches of the Charles River up or down stream.

According to a marker on the Pleasant Street Bridge, eight acres of land were donated by Isabella Pratt Shaw in 1934. Another plaque states the building of the South Natick Dam.
