[EN] In the 17th century, Dijon experienced a religious renewal which resulted in the establishment of new orders, for feminine congregations in particuliar.
During the revolution the Bernardines where driven out. The monestary was transformed into a barracks, and then was used to store art works of which all that remains is the majestic alter of the Church of the convent of the Visitation, by Jean Dubois.
In 1803, the Sainte-Anne hospice, an orphanage, was set up in the convent buildings and the church changed its name.
