The stone has a plaque reading as follows:
'31st December 1999
The Parish Council erected this stone to mark the end of the second millennium. There are 363 people living in Holcot in 158 homes. The parish covers 566 hectares with a parish church, chapel, public house, village hall, church room, two farms and some small businesses.

Holcot has a very active social life with many clubs, organisations and annual events for us all to enjoy. We hope that you are enjoying our village.'

The stone stands on a small green with a flag pole nearby and the church behind.
