From Rainbow Point the entirety of the park stretches out before visitors back to the north. Spending a few minutes at Rainbow Point (and Yovimpa Point a short distance away) will provide visitors with a geologic and geographic orientation, helping them better understand the landscape and landforms that surround Bryce Canyon National Park ,and thereby better appreciate the unique beauty of this National Park.

Rainbow Point provides a distant view of all of Bryce Canyon including the Bryce Amphitheater. There are two different overlooks here in close proximity, one of which is a slight downhill walk to the observation platform. There is access to the short Bristlecone Loop Trail, the 23 mile long Under the Rim Trail and Riggs Spring Loop Trail.
