The inscription reads:
"In memory of those who served in World War II"

The small park is in the center of Breckenridge. The park runs between the road and the railroad tracks, and has a Gazebo on the corner. The nearby historical marker tells us about the old plank road that ran through here, and the park has a section of pseudo-plank road. The only other memorial in this park is to a local historical figure.

Breckenridge is a small town in rural Michigan than has a population of about 1200 people.
