Long Description:The church of St Andrew dates back to the 14th century and the
windows have been presented with the stonework showing in a frame
around the glass with white-washed walls in the main interior. In
an anti-clockwise direction around the church the windows are
detailed as follows:
Most of the windows depict saints from the bible.
The south aisle has two bright windows.
In the chancel there are two windows in the south wall and a
superb east window surrounded by impressive monuments.
Hidden behind the curtain in the north wall is a fantastically
bright
window.
In the north wall is a surviving window from nearby Gaynes Hall
showing heraldic glass. This dates from the 16th and 17th
centuries.
The west wall has a fine window in the bell tower with a scene
from the bible.
Finally there is a simple window in the lower west wall showing
prayer.
