Long Description:
As a stagecoach stop on the Great Stage Road from Washington DC
area into the South, Exchange Place was named either due to being
where a horse team was replaced or Virginia money was exchanged for
Tennessee currency. The complex (National Register Waymark WM50WV)
is maintained as an educational and historical location. This
photograph is of the main store.
