This scenic overlook was built as a Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout Service Project. It was constructed by A.J. Gottschalk of Troop 50, chartered by Pine Shores Presbyterian Church. The project was completed with the assistance of Oscar Scherer State Park, Assistant Park Manager Tony Clements, Duncan Sea Wall, Don Stone, Rob Wright, Troop 50 Scouts and leaders, and A.J.'s family and friends.
