We spent the day here introducing Girl Scouts to geocaching. I had to pick up a few waymarks along the way. A large acreage of scrubby flatwoods makes this park one of the best places to see Florida scrub-jays, a threatened species found only in Florida. We happened across one out on the trails who sadly, appeared to have been fed and had no fear of us what so ever.
