The Needham Town Hall is an example of a Georgian Revival style architecture that was typical of government buildings built at the turn of the 20th century. The hall was built in 1902 at the cost of $ 57,500 on land that was purchased adjacent to the town common in 1901. The architects were Winslow and Bigelow of Boston.
One of the distinctive features of the building is the white cupola and weathervane at the top. Lamps are at the base of the building, as well as an iron gate at the entrance. Inside, there is a room that was the assembly hall for town meetings.
There has been recent discussion about restoration of the town hall.
