Chicago - Old Roundhouse with Manual Turntable - Railway Roundhouses on Waymarking.com

This is the first in a series that will highlight railroad features around Chicago.

At the posted coordinates, look north, you will see a manual turntable and a small roundhouse.

The train would drive onto the turntable, men would use the 6" x 6" wood post to position the turntable so the train could drive into any door of the roundhouse.
