This work is on the corner of the main street marking the boundary between the cities of Monterey and Seaside. It's taller than a person and is visible even to traffic racing by. Because the sculpture consists of two seahorses next to each other, it looks the same from either side.

Seaside's city logo includes a seahorse - although that makes no sense, because the Monterey Bay is home to fabulous aquatic creatures but not to any seahorses.
