MLK Statue Fresno State Peace Garden - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Waymarking.com

The statue stands over eight feet tall including its base. It was placed on January 18, 1998, which would have been his 80th birthday. The statue weighs 500 lbs and depicts the Dr. King holding a baby representing hope for the next generation. Artist Richard Blake was the sculptor.

Fresno has many monuments to Dr. King and of all of them I have seen is the most profound. Most monuments to him that I visited are nothing but a bust.
